The Oncology portfolio is central to GSK’s growth strategy, with the Lung portfolio playing a key role in delivering both near- and long-term ambitions across Europe. As Commercial Head, Lung Europe, you will be accountable for defining and delivering the European commercial strategy across the lung oncology portfolio, as we prepare for commercialisation. You will translate global strategy into execution across EU4, the UK, and Area markets, ensuring alignment across Local Operating Companies (LOCs), the European Region, and Global teams. This role will lead launch readiness and activation, optimise portfolio performance, and ensure patients across Europe can access GSK medicines while delivering strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the European Lung commercial strategy, aligned to global direction
  • Lead end-to-end launch readiness and activation across European markets, including sequencing and alignment across markets and functions
  • Drive performance management across European LOCs, including establishment of KPIs, tracking, and intervention where required
  • Align and secure cross-functional resources, orchestrating support to markets and addressing barriers to delivery of strategic priorities
  • Act as the primary European interface with Global TA, ensuring European customer and market insights shape strategy, evidence generation, and positioning
  • Represent the European commercial perspective in key governance forums, including input into GDS / EU SmPC development
  • Lead development of launch sequencing strategies, reflecting pricing and market access dynamics to optimise patient access and commercial outcomes
  • Represent European Lung performance and LOC perspectives, influencing P&L delivery and ensuring transparency on risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans
  • Identify performance gaps and opportunities and drive corrective actions across markets
  • Enable cross-market learning and adoption of best practice to accelerate performance
  • Build organisational readiness and capability to support multiple concurrent launches and lifecycle management

About You

We’re looking for a strategic and commercially driven leader with deep oncology expertise and a proven ability to deliver in complex, matrix environments.

Essential:

  • Significant commercial experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Proven experience in oncology, ideally within lung cancer
  • Strong track record of leading successful product launches across multiple European markets
  • Experience working across both local (country/LOC) and above-country roles
  • Strong understanding of market access, pricing, and go-to-market strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and deliver measurable business impact

Preferred:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field
