The Europe Consumer & Business Insights & Analytics (CBIA) Lead is responsible for enabling effective business decision-making by embedding external market, consumer and performance insight into strategy, brand activation, and investment choices across the Operating Unit. The role leverages integrated market data, consumer panels, market research and marketing effectiveness analytics, including Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), to drive sustained, profitable growth across Haleon’s portfolio of categories and brands. Acting as a senior business partner, the CBIA Lead strengthens Haleon’s external orientation and ensures insights are translated into clear, actionable recommendations. You will be responsible for developing and leading a world class CBIA Team that are proactive business partners — enabling evidence-based decision-making, identifying growth opportunities, and shaping the innovation pipeline with precision and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • DATA LED INSIGHTS, FORESIGHT AND ANALYTICS Develop and lead an Europe-wide learning agenda across Haleon’s three category pillars: OTC, Oral Health Care (OHC), and Wellness. This includes not only planning new research but also synthesizing existing data, consumer feedback, and market intelligence to identify unmet needs, demand spaces, and growth vectors across categories and markets.
  • Monitor emerging trends, behavioural shifts, and cultural patterns to inform strategic foresight and category planning.
  • Translate behavioural and cultural insights into actionable strategies that shape brand development, innovation, and communication.
  • Lead a proactive approach to closing critical data gaps and ensuring Europe has the right breadth and depth of data sources to deliver deeper consumer analytics & stronger performance understanding to support the accelerated growth ambition.
  • Lead Business Performance management and Advanced analytics workstreams including Pricing, MMM, Instore Analytics to deliver actionable growth recommendations.
  • Deliver cross-category, portfolio-level and enterprise-wide analyses to inform understanding of competitive strategies, market dynamics and growth opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Commercial and Strategy teams during annual strategic planning and brand planning cycles, ensuring insights are embedded throughout.

PERFORMANCE ANALYTICS

  • Leverage ZETA to scale a performance enablement system across Europe that integrates consumer, market, and commercial data into a unified decision-making framework.
  • Harmonize KPIs, dashboards, and review templates across markets to enable consistent tracking and course correction.
  • Partner with PPM, Finance and Commercial teams to triangulate insights with business performance and growth levers.
  • Oversee innovation tracking and investment effectiveness analysis, integrating macroeconomic and consumer sentiment data into strategic planning.
  • Deliver Media Analytics with close partnership and integration with media and Digital teams, and pricing analytics with Comex and Finance teams.

OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP & CAPABILITY BUILDING

  • Own resource planning and budget deployment across CBIA teams to maximize strategic impact and operational efficiency.
  • Lead capability building across all Insight, Strategy, and Innovation resources and marketing teams, fostering a high-performance, insight-driven culture.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & INFLUENCE

  • Influencing decisions with senior stakeholders across OU, markets and global categories to ensure data and insight-backed narratives and ensuring market realities are reflected in planning.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across OU by bringing the outside in and driving a consumer first, always organization.
  • Partner closely with the Global CBIA Effectiveness team to ensure outputs are consolidated and embedded into Haleon platforms and processes.
  • Manage and optimise agency partnerships across sell-out databases, consumer panels and market research suppliers, ensuring quality, governance and value.

Qualifications and skills

  • 15+ years in Consumer Insights, Strategy, or Innovation leadership roles, preferably in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare.
  • Proven track record of driving growth through insight-led strategy and innovation.
  • Strong fluency in behavioural analytics, digital tools, and AI-driven methodologies.
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical capability — able to leverage complex data sets, advanced analytics, and cross-functional inputs to identify performance drivers and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Proven ability in interacting and managing relationships across markets, OU and Global teams.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
