Overview: You will lead general procurement activities across site spend, partnering closely with operations, engineering, quality and finance teams. You will shape local sourcing plans, manage supplier relationships and support contract delivery.
In this role you will:
- Manage day‑to‑day procurement for both direct and indirect site spend to ensure reliable supply.
- Develop and execute local sourcing strategies that support site objectives and global category plans.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and purchase orders to secure value and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into procurement action.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage risks through ongoing reviews and corrective actions.
- Co‑ordinate support from multiple category teams and work within a matrix organization.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or a related discipline.
- Operational procurement or supply chain experience across multiple spend categories.
- Experience managing site‑level procurement or specific categories, including contract negotiation.
- Experience using procurement tools, spend analysis and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Professional certification such as CIPS or CPSM.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing or life sciences environments.
- Background in direct materials, capital expenditure sourcing or technical services.
- Training or experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong financial skills including budgeting and cost control.
- Track record of supplier development and measurable supplier performance improvement.
