Education required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (various disciplines including Automation, Robotics, Controls & Systems, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Robotics Technology Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with modules in automation, robotics, systems, software and/or cybersecurity). Language requirement: English (written and spoken). Location: Barnard Castle. Expected start date: September 2026.

- Smart Manufacturing Innovation: apply AI and digital transformation to manufacturing.
- Automation & Controls: define and implement improvements on control systems and robotics to optimise operations.
- Digital & Data: use data-driven approaches and visualization to monitor processes and drive decisions.
- Asset Management: use condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance for optimal performance.
- Problem-Solving: develop analytical skills (e.g., DMAIC/Six Sigma) to tackle challenges and collaborate cross-functionally.
