Overview
This two year programme is designed to prepare you for future engineering, operational, and technical roles within GSK\’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) within your chosen discipline.

What will you do?
- Engineering Excellence: Design, execute, and validate engineering projects while adhering to industry-leading standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Manage the lifecycle of new equipment, from design to installation and commissioning, ensuring seamless integration into operations, working with suppliers.
- Equipment Reliability: Enhance the performance, safety, and reliability of manufacturing equipment & utilities through predictive maintenance and lifecycle management.
- Smart Manufacturing Innovation: Drive efficiency and innovation using AI and digital transformation technologies as part of our digital transformation journey.
- Automation Expertise: Define and implement improvements, upgrade systems, and work with control systems and robotics technologies to optimise manufacturing operations
- Digital & Data Expertise: Use data-driven approaches & data visualization techniques to monitor processes, identify trends, and implement solutions to improve decision making & operational efficiencies
- Asset Management: Utilize techniques e.g. condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance, for optimal equipment performance.
- Problem-Solving: Develop analytical and advanced problem-solving skills (e.g., DMAIC/Six Sigma) to tackle complex challenges to improve processes and drive cross functional collaboration
- Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to energy management and sustainability projects, supporting GSK\’s Net Carbon Zero mission.
Education, Language & Skills
- Education required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering: Automation, Robotics, Controls & Systems, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Robotics Technology Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with modules in automation, robotics, systems, software and/or cybersecurity
- Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
- Technical Aptitude: A passion for Engineering and a keen interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Our Graduate Programmes are designed to accelerate the development of graduates who don\’t have significant previous professional work experience in the area to which they are applying. Of course, many graduates who join the programme have worked while studying or after graduation. If you\’ve already developed substantial experience working in a professional role in your sector, while you would be able to apply for this programme, you may also want to look at direct entry roles in our businesses, as these may be the best way to build on your existing skills and expertise and develop a career at GSK.
It is expected that you will be able to evidence the right to work in the UK for at least the duration of the programme. GSK\’s ability to make and honour any offer to you will be subject to the UK government immigration rules applicable at the time. Any offers will be made subject to immigration status being confirmed.
