We are recruiting for several exciting opportunities within the Steriles Business Unit, including multiple Aseptic Operator positions (C Block ISM). We proudly manufacture 38 different medicines in over 1500 pack variations to treat HIV, Cancer, Infectious Disease, Migraine, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Asthma, Cold Sore and Acne, to name just a few. You will be required to work at a 24:7 shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Qualify and maintain a sterile operating license.
- Set up an aseptic filling isolator, including glove integrity testing, machine cleaning, machine building and VHP.
- Operate an aseptic isolator using critical glove ports to perform interventions such as fitting sterilised disposable assemblies and environmental monitoring.
- Interact with multiple sterile interfaces such as RTP / IDC ports and SARA.
- Perform filter testing including PUPSIT.
- Participate in critical decision making with cross‑functional teams (Micro, MSAT, OQ, Eng and R&D).
- Use digital systems (MES).
- Work in a cleanroom environment and display appropriate aseptic behaviours at all times.
- Support filling operations – component and finished product processing and IPC checks.
- Prepare and autoclave sterilised machine parts.
- Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and work on a variety of computer and automation systems; possess good understanding of digital systems and platforms.
- Maintain a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent pharmaceutical experience.
- Demonstrate the GSK Values: Transparency, respect, integrity, patient focus.
- Meet the GSK Expectations: teamwork, courage, development and accountability.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and explain its importance to pharmaceutical manufacture.
- Troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement using GPS.
