This role will be based out of Durham, NC & may be considered for a domestic relocation package. Employees need to be onsite 2 days in a week.

The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Marketing Manager, HIV Prevention, is responsible for leading development and execution of key consumer marketing activities and digital solutions. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have a passion for marketing excellence and the skill to ensure our campaigns are patient-centered, innovative and competitive.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead key direct-to-consumer marketing activities to include branded and unbranded social, influencer, audio and print execution
  • Lead experiential activations for the unbranded campaign
  • Understand People Who Can Benefit from PrEP (PWBP), the competitive landscape, and complex trends in the US marketplace to effectively contribute to the development, approval and deployment of strategic marketing campaigns & materials
  • Assist in the evolution of digital content to reach patients in this critical channel
  • Foster collaborative relationships across brand and cross-functional teams, network and build alliances
  • Manage projects through promotional review and the Copy Approval system
  • Manage agency partners in the development of creative and execution of tactical plans; evaluate and set project budgets, establish detailed timelines, and ensure on-time project delivery
  • Identify/build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders that are grounded in trust/mutual respect
  • Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), track performance and optimize marketing programs for maximum impact
  • Effectively lead internal cross-functional teams, including Copy Approval, external partners, and project teams to achieve maximum results that drive the business

Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of US-based pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing AND/OR commercial roles
  • Experience working with and managing external agencies
  • Experience in creating product messaging and developing tactics
  • Experience in navigating Copy Approval / Promotional Review Team (PRT) process and promotional review.

Preferred Qualification

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Graduate Degree level (e.g., MBA) or related field.
  • Prior PrEP or HIV market experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a matrix team environment (i.e. Copy Approval Team, brand marketing, sales, training, medical, insights and analytics, etc.)
  • Media planning knowledge across multiple channels
  • Project management and demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
  • High level of motivation and a strong ability to find creative solutions to unstructured situations
  • Knowledge and practical application of compliance acumen in the pharmaceutical space
  • Experience preparing and delivering written and verbal communications in a professional setting, interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills
  • Experience navigating internal processes, manage multiple priorities, and keep projects on track to meet deadlines
