Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
Other requirements: Willingness to be geographically mobile (domestic) throughout rotations

Our Communications and Government Affairs (CGA) function in GSK builds engagement and belief in GSK and its purpose, strategy and culture – internally and externally.

In CGA, you have the opportunity to protect and enhance our reputation, ensure our story is told accurately and consistently, bring external viewpoints into the company and partner with our business on developing GSK policy and positions. CGA has a critical role in growing and supporting the GSK business for the benefit of patients.

If you’re a graduate with the talent and ambition to lead and engage others, we will equip you with expertise and skills in Communications and Government Affairs to make an impact and be a trusted adviser to business.

Over two years, our Graduate Programme will challenge and support you to grow professionally and personally. You can expect 3 job rotations, each one lasting 8 months. In each rotation we aim to give you the opportunity to gain experience across internal and external communications and government affairs, in several business areas and geographical areas, providing local, regional or global exposure.

Your rotations will be stretching, but we’ll support you with formal and informal learning, as well as coaching and mentoring. You will improve your communication, analytical and influencing skills, and gain commercial awareness and experience to support your continued development.

What will you do?

  • Work on communication and advocacy strategies and plans to hone your skills and knowledge of internal and external Communications and Government Affairs
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of cross-functional GSK teams in the business, including for example, Medical, Commercial, HR, Global Supply Chain, etc., to develop communication materials, key messages, briefs, visual/video assets for different audiences and different channels
  • Develop your writing and briefing skills for internal business and external audiences
  • Be involved in our digital activity both internally and externally on our social media channels
  • Be involved in a variety of internal and external engagement activities
  • Monitor, analyse and interpret information and external insights to help us to understand healthcare trends and impact to our business
  • Learn how to project manage and effectively prioritise tasks and understand the business-critical role of CGA
