GSH Projects are recruiting a Project Manager to join our Major Projects team based in Weston-super-Mare. This position will manage and lead individual and multi-disciplined Commercial projects. You are directly accountable for working with our team and third parties meeting projected delivery dates and to stay within budget on all projects and solutions.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and assist in development of projects and programs that will establish quality objectives.
- Manage teams through all phases of cycle development, including analysis, project design and development, testing periods, installation, and final delivery.
- Oversee a department and team of project managers, including budget management, scheduling, and risk analysis.
- Interface directly with managers, employees, vendors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.
- Create a work plan that includes a schedule, milestones, control, and risk factors.
- Identify complex risks, lead reviews, create risk mitigation and implement action plans.
- Manage multiple projects individually and as a team, all simultaneously.
- Protect confidential and sensitive information.
- Enhance company and department reputation by accepting ownership, exploring new possibilities, and adding value to the organisation.
- Maintain a strong understanding of business strategies, goals, and missions.
- Attend site to complete surveys, inspections and project completion meetings.

- You must have proven experience within the commercial construction industry.

- Knowledge and experience working with PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation).

Our client base encompasses student accommodation, social housing, retail, offices, hospitals & local councils. We are a nationwide full-service contractor made up of 3 divisions: Small Works, Major projects & Passive Fire Protection.
Further information:
- This role is being offered on a full-time, Permanent basis (37.5 hours P/W) and is based in Weston-super-Mare.
- Overnight stays will be required when applicable.
- Immediate start.
- Holiday entitlement: 25 days + 1 additional day for your birthday + 8 statutory holidays.
- 10 days annual sick pay entitlement.
- An WPA Healthcare cash plan – Level 2 in operation.
- Starting salary: £45,000pa to £50,000pa depending on experience.
