We’re searching for a technically brilliant, commercially savvy Senior BI Developer/ Senior Data Analyst to craft and own scalable business intelligence solutions that shape decisions across the organisation.

Sitting at the crossroads of data engineering, analytics, and business insight, you’ll take full ownership of the BI layer, from modelling and transformation through to dynamic Power BI dashboards and intuitive self-service reporting.

Partnering with stakeholders in finance, marketing, product, and operations, you’ll ensure data is trusted, performant, and aligned with the priorities that drive commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, and dashboards.
  • Build and optimise SQL-based data models that underpin reporting, forecasting, and analytics use cases.
  • Contribute to the development and optimisation of the organisation’s Microsoft Fabric platform, including Lakehouse/Warehouse design and data pipelines.
  • Design and manage ETL / ELT pipelines, using Power Automate, Fabric Data Factory, or similar tooling.
  • Own the end-to-end BI lifecycle, from source data ingestion and modelling through to visualisation and business adoption.
  • Partner with commercial teams to deliver insight into pricing, promotions, customer behaviour, and revenue performance.
  • Define, standardise, and monitor KPIs across sales, marketing, product, and customer domains.
  • Drive automation and self-service BI, reducing manual reporting through Power BI, Power Apps, and workflow automation.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, documentation, and performance optimisation.
  • Lead BI storytelling for senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Mentor junior BI developers / analysts and contribute to BI and data engineering best practices.
  • This role is full time hybrid position with travel to our Head Office in Wolverhampton

About You

• Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or BI development, with strong technical ownership.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, performance tuning, and dimensional modelling.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, deployment pipelines, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent modern data platforms (data warehouses, lake houses).
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining ETL / ELT processes, using tools such as Power Automate, Fabric Data Factory, or similar.
  • Experience building scalable, reusable BI datasets that support multiple reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial metrics, including margin, revenue, ROI, and P&L analysis.
  • Ability to work confidently with stakeholders across finance, marketing, product, and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to data accuracy, lineage, and governance.

Desirable / Advantageous Experience

  • Experience in a retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing environment (pricing, promotions, inventory, or multi-site data).
  • Exposure to Power Apps for building data-driven tools or lightweight operational applications.
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, or promotional analysis.
  • Background in a high-growth, transformation-led environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent hands on experience
