Overview
The Warehouse Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the warehouse team, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update warehouse data, including inventory records, stock movements, and shipment details in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Order Processing: Assist with the processing of orders, including picking lists, dispatch paperwork, and liaising with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain up-to-date inventory records, monitor stock levels, and assist with regular stock checks and audits.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage warehouse documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, and shipping documents, ensuring all records are accurate and properly filed.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact between the warehouse team and other departments, such as customer service and logistics, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on stock levels, order status, and warehouse performance, presenting data to the Warehouse Manager and other stakeholders as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure all warehouse activities are compliant with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Supplier Liaison: Coordinate with suppliers and carriers regarding deliveries, ensuring all paperwork is correct and any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Support: Provide administrative support for warehouse projects, process improvements, and other initiatives as required.
- Customer Service: Handle customer queries related to deliveries, stock availability, and other warehouse-related matters, ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
Required Skills And Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse administration or similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Good knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
