About The Role At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is all encompassing for our aim to deliver excellent Customer Service. You will play a crucial part of the team; contributing towards achieving branch and individual targets through face to face sales, servicing click and collect orders and developing sound customer relationships.
Main Duties
- Serve trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders whilst maximising sales where possible.
- Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
- Assist the sales team with product promotions by answering telephone queries and handling electronic queries as needed.
- Fully satisfy customer needs regarding any part orders, returns, or queries.
- Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
- Contribute to a positive team performance while working on personal benchmarks to optimise performance and promote product promotions.
- Utilise the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
- Ensure that customer-facing areas of the branch are kept clean and tidy.
- Develop strong working relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
- Promote a professional image of the company and uphold our values.
- Work towards achieving relevant set KPI’s.
Working Hours
Average 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday work.
About You
What you\’ll need to succeed:
- Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
- Target driven and motivated to achieve results.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Positive approach to customer queries and pro-active resolutions.
- Confident user of IT and computer systems.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
