As an Onsite Parts Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of our customer-dedicated parts function, based directly at the client's site. Acting as the primary point of contact, you will manage the customer relationship, oversee inventory and parts availability, and lead a team to ensure exceptional service delivery and operational performance.
You will play a key role in developing strong stakeholder relationships, identifying opportunities for service improvement, and ensuring the smooth running of the onsite operation. As the leader of the team, you will drive performance, maintain high standards of customer service, and ensure all contractual and operational requirements are met.
Main Duties Include:
- Lead, manage and motivate the onsite parts team, providing coaching and development to direct reports.
- Act as the key point of contact for the customer, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of service delivery.
- Manage all aspects of parts inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock.
- Monitor team performance against agreed KPIs and implement actions to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular reviews with customer stakeholders to discuss performance, stock availability and service enhancements.
- Analyse reporting and management information to identify trends, opportunities and risks within the operation.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure efficient stock replenishment and supply chain performance.
- Prepare and present operational and performance reports to both internal and customer stakeholders.
- Ensure all team members are appropriately trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Take ownership of health and safety compliance within the onsite operation, ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
- Manage operational processes to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, control and distribution of parts.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and commercial performance.
- Support account growth by identifying opportunities to enhance the service offering and strengthen the customer partnership.
