Overview

IT Software Engineer role at GSF Car Parts. This is a hybrid role based at Wolverhampton NDC, with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

About The Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer/Developer who MUST have experience in Next.js & React and C#. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript and MySQL, with some exposure to Azure or other cloud computing platforms being a bonus. This role is perfect for someone with a few years of hands-on experience, looking to grow their skills while contributing to exciting projects in a collaborative team.

This is a hybrid role, at our Wolverhampton NDC, with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js/React, focusing on performance and scalability.
  • Work with teams to integrate applications with APIs and databases, particularly using MySQL.
  • Write clean, maintainable code using JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Report to and work closely with the Lead Software Engineer to meet project goals and timelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a mid-level software engineer/developer.
  • Practical experience with Next.js/React for web development.
  • Practical experience with C#.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript.
  • Experience working with MySQL databases.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant projects and skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Some knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
