We're looking for a commercially astute and detail-oriented IT Commercial Manager to oversee the financial and contractual operations of our IT function. This is a strategic role that blends financial oversight, vendor management, and governance to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and high-performing IT service delivery. You'll be instrumental in managing budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships, while providing commercial insights that drive value across the business. As IT Commercial Manager, You Will
- Contract Management
- Negotiate, review, and manage IT contracts and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and SLAs.
- Maintain a central repository of all IT contracts and documentation.
- Financial Oversight
- Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and actuals in collaboration with Finance.
- Support the IT Finance Admin in tracking and reconciling IT spend across vendors, services, and projects.
- Oversee invoice processing and payment validation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Vendor & Supplier Management
- Act as the primary contact for IT suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance and escalation of issues as needed.
- Support procurement and tendering activities.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Produce regular reports on IT spend, savings, and commercial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Provide commercial insights to IT leadership.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to financial controls and procurement policies.
- Support audits and risk assessments related to IT commercial activities.
- Team Leadership
- Line-manage a Finance Admin responsible for invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining quality oversight.
- Support professional development and ensure workload alignment with business priorities.
About You
- Proven experience in IT commercial or financial management roles.
- Strong understanding of IT contracts, procurement, and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP platforms).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams.
- Degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, ITIL, Prince2) are a plus.
- Experience managing IT budgets over £10M+.
