About The Role
As the Head of Analytics, you will oversee GSF’s data analytics and management information strategy, ensuring data insights support our trading and commercial growth. Reporting to the Head of FP&A and working directly with the senior leadership team, you will collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate data-driven decisions. You will manage a small team of data analysts whose analysis will optimize pricing, margins, product selection, operational efficiency, and market insights to enhance commercial performance.
About You
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Analytics Leadership: Define and lead data analytics strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions.
- Growth and Margin Optimization: Oversee channel, pricing, and margin analysis to optimize trends using historical data and advanced analytics.
- Market and Portfolio Insights: Drive insights into market trends, regional performance, customer behavior, and competitive intelligence to inform decision-making.
- Performance Measurement: Develop and monitor KPIs for trading and commercial success, adjusting strategies based on insights.
- Data Integration and Warehousing: Collaborate with IT to integrate data sources, ensuring quality control and visualization for timely insights.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the analytics team, fostering a culture of rigor and collaboration.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with senior management and cross-functional teams to identify and address analytics needs.
- 10+ years in data and commercial analytics, with leadership experience; automotive, distribution, or FMCG experience preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Experience with data science and AI strategies is a plus.
- Proven project management skills in complex data environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Deep understanding of commercial drivers, pricing, and channel strategies.
