About The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Control Operative to join our warehouse team. This role involves managing the efficient movement and tracking of stock, ensuring inventory levels are accurately maintained, and that goods are stored and dispatched correctly. You will play a key part in helping to streamline operations, improve stock accuracy, and reduce discrepancies.
About You
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular stock checks and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Manage stock levels and ensure that stock is correctly stored, labelled, and categorised.
- Receive and process stock deliveries, ensuring all products match order specifications.
- Report any discrepancies between physical stock and system records and take corrective action.
- Update and maintain accurate records on the inventory management system.
- Monitor product shelf life, ensuring stock rotation and minimising waste.
- Assist in stock replenishment and place orders with suppliers as required.
- Support the logistics team with the packing, sorting, and shipping of goods.
- Identify slow-moving stock and work with the team to plan appropriate actions.
- Liaise with suppliers and other internal teams to resolve any stock-related issues.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stock control, warehousing, or a similar operational role.
- Good understanding of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
