We are one of the market leaders in student accommodation and we are looking for a new Night Service Assistant/Housekeeper to join our team in right in the heart of Newcastle!
Night Service Assistants at Yugo are a key part of our community-based teams because they oversee the safety, security of our residences during the night and are the first port of call for the students that live with us.
You’ll also be responsible for keeping communal areas and rooms clean and tidy and deep cleaning vacated rooms & kitchens where required between tenancies. Excellent attention to detail is needed to ensure everything is highly presentable and in tip top condition for the students that live with us.
Naturally, our residencies are bustling during the evening so you will need be on the ball and keep a close eye on everyone ensuring our students are safe.
Here’s what you’ll do,
- Cover the front desk and respond to any of the student’s enquiries
- Assist with check in and check out of our student’s rooms
- Ensure the communal areas are clean and tidy and well maintained
- Get involved with our famous wellbeing and social events
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for our students
- Experience within a similar role where cleaning and safety is a priority
- Along with the day to day activities within your role, you will also be required to manage your health and safety responsibilities as set out in Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974, where it states that you have a duty to take care of yourself and those around you, by your acts or omissions and to cooperate with your employer on health and safety matters.

You’ll need to be computer savvy, switched on and approachable and a of course a night owl. Some experience in security will give you the edge.
