ESSENTIAL: Must be an experienced CONSTRUCTION Project Manager. *Other industry experience will not be considered* About the Role An established construction contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join its team based in Motherwell, overseeing projects primarily across the Central Belt. This is an opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong construction background and specific experience managing large-scale drylining and ceiling packages. You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, managing site teams, subcontractors, commercial performance, programme and client relationships to ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing complex construction projects, coordinating multiple trades and driving performance across project teams and the supply chain. Key Responsibilities * Take overall responsibility for the safe, timely and profitable delivery of construction projects. * Oversee large-scale drylining and suspended ceiling packages, ensuring works meet programme, specification and quality requirements. * Manage project teams, Site Managers, subcontractors and supply chain partners. * Develop and monitor project programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing solutions. * Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and commercial risks in conjunction with the commercial team. * Attend project handovers, ensuring a thorough understanding of scope, specifications, contractual requirements and deliverables. * Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants and key stakeholders, providing progress updates and managing expectations. * Ensure all construction activities comply with CDM regulations, health and safety requirements and company procedures. * Manage project risks, resources, labour, plant and materials to maximise efficiency and minimise delays. * Maintain accurate project records and provide regular reports on progress, financial performance, risks and issues to senior management. * Oversee quality assurance, defect management and post-completion works. * Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and future project opportunities. * Lead, develop and support project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. About You The successful Project Manager will have a proven track record of delivering construction projects, with particular expertise in drylining and ceiling packages. You will ideally have: * Previous experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry. * Demonstrable experience overseeing large drylining and ceiling packages on commercial, fit-out or major construction projects. * Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and multiple project stakeholders. * Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, variations and cost control. * The ability to manage project programmes, resources and competing priorities. * A thorough understanding of construction health and safety requirements and CDM regulations. * Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills. * A proactive approach to problem-solving, project planning and client management.
