Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong civil engineering background looking to take the lead on high-value commercial projects?
We’re recruiting for a Civils Contracts Manager to join a well-established contractor delivering commercial civil engineering projects across Dundee, Perth and Fife.
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects while leading teams and driving performance.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, you’ll be responsible for overseeing 3–4 live commercial civil engineering projects, each valued at £4‑6 million.
You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards, while providing leadership to site teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee 3–4 commercial civil engineering projects simultaneously.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
- Drive project performance and provide leadership to site teams.
- Monitor programmes, resources and project costs.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively to keep projects on track.
- Work closely with commercial teams to maximise project profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures.
- Identify project risks and implement practical solutions.
About You
- A proven background within Civil Engineering (essential).
- SMSTS Card (Essential)
- Previous experience working as a Project or Contracts Manager or in a similar senior operational role.
- Experience managing multiple commercial civils projects simultaneously.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project financial performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to problem‑solve and make decisions under pressure.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
