Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong civil engineering background looking to take the lead on high-value commercial projects? We're recruiting for a Civils Contracts Manager to join a well-established contractor delivering commercial civil engineering projects across Dundee, Perth and Fife. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects while leading teams and driving performance.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, you'll be responsible for overseeing 3-4 live commercial civil engineering projects, each with values of £4-6 million. You'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards, while providing leadership to site teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee 3-4 commercial civil engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
  • Drive project performance and provide leadership to site teams.
  • Monitor programmes, resources and project costs.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively to keep projects on track.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to maximise project profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures.
  • Identify project risks and implement practical solutions.

About You

  • A proven background within Civil Engineering (essential).
  • SMSTS Card (Essential)
  • Previous experience working as a Project or Contracts Manager or in a similar senior operational role.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial civils projects simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project financial performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to problem solve and make decisions under pressure.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
