Building Services Manager (or Senior) £75,000 - £90,000+ DOE

Our client, a leading Tier 1 Building & Construction firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager to join their growing team in Scotland.

The opportunity is also open to a Senior Building Services Manager.

Working across a diverse portfolio of construction projects, you'll play a key role in managing the successful delivery of MEP Services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

The Role

As Building Services Manager, you'll work closely with project delivery teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure all building services installations are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, budget and technical specifications.

You'll oversee every stage of the MEP process, ensuring designs are coordinated, installations meet statutory requirements, and projects achieve successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services across multiple construction projects.
  • Coordinate MEP activities from pre-construction through installation, commissioning and final handover.
  • Review technical designs and subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle, identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Chair technical coordination and commissioning meetings with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety and compliance with design requirements.
  • Support project teams with testing, commissioning and client demonstrations prior to project completion.
  • Ensure statutory obligations, Building Regulations and employer requirements are met throughout the delivery process.
  • Assist with technical input during tender stages where required, including reviewing design information and subcontractor submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have

  • Previous experience in a Building Services Manager, MEP Manager or Building Services Engineer role within the construction industry.
  • A background in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent industry experience in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, BREEAM, energy compliance and current industry standards.
  • Experience managing MEP packages on live construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
