A rare and prestigious senior leadership opportunity has arisen to join an internationally renowned infrastructure organisation as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Director. This critical role will drive high standards of Fire, Health, Safety and Wellbeing across a uniquely complex environment, enabling safe, efficient operations and ensuring that everyone reaches their destination and returns home safe and well.

Leading the Fire, Health, Safety and Wellbeing (FHSW) Leadership Team, the successful candidate will develop and deliver the organisation’s overall HSW strategy. The remit includes the safety of all directly employed colleagues as well as the assurance of standards across a wider network of stakeholders and operational partners.

The successful Health, Safety and Wellbeing Director will:

  • Bring exceptional leadership capabilities to manage and develop a proactive, business-partnering H&S team.
  • Have extensive experience within high-risk, complex operations, with exposure to multiple functions and diverse working environments.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of leading transformative change, translating strategic ambitions into practical, effective outcomes.
  • Possess the presence and credibility to influence senior executives, peers and frontline stakeholders alike.
  • Be a collaborative operator, able to engage constructively across a broad ecosystem of internal and external partners, including over 400 companies and more than 70,000 individuals.

In return, you will receive: £190,000 - £210,000 base salary, a comprehensive and attractive benefits package, and the opportunity to make a significant impact within one of the UK’s most iconic operational settings.
