Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain a range of security systems including Fire Detection Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intercom systems.
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure systems are fully operational, working towards and exceeding maintenance and fault-finding targets.
- Provide system demonstrations to customers, explaining potential causes and consequences of false alarms.
- Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours (OOH) callouts and telephone support.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to carry out accurate installations.
- Understand and fulfill client requirements, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience in the installation, service, and repair of Fire Detection, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intercom systems.
- Working knowledge of various intruder panels such as Galaxy, Menvier, Scantronics, Castle, Aritech, and Network/IP-based systems.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to participate in on-call duties.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Checkable work history with suitable references.
Location: Must live within a 50-mile radius of Bristol.
Desirable: Specialist knowledge or stronger skill sets in one discipline (Fire, Intruder, CCTV, or Access Control) is welcome – training will be provided to enhance skills where necessary.
