Overview

QA Team Leader - Night Shift.

Ramsey site.

Responsible for supporting quality assurance and production due diligence requirements for all products, managing the quality assurance and hygiene teams, and ensuring compliance with their role expectations.

The role includes additional responsibilities to support the smooth running of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all quality checks, audits, shelf-life assessments, and ensure compliance with BRC, HACCP, and food safety legislation.
  • Lead investigations into rejections, complaints, and non-conformances using root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions and reporting findings.
  • Manage QA and hygiene teams, including scheduling, training, performance reviews (1-2-1s), and ensuring adequate staffing and development.
  • Lead daily meetings, shift handovers, and ensure performance, quality data, and priorities are communicated across departments.
  • Oversee cleaning schedules, hygiene standards, and health & safety audits to ensure full compliance with site procedures.
  • Support audits, factory trials, product processes, and step in for management when required while providing expert guidance on QA and hygiene matters.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in a factory environment.
  • Previous experience leading a team is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Hours of Work
  • Monday - Friday, 15:00 - Midnight
