Do you have strong administration skills, a proactive nature and are passionate about keeping operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a Production Shift Planner to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our factory processes are planned and scheduled efficiently to meet customer demand. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will work closely with different teams across the business to ensure production runs effectively, resources are utilised efficiently, and customer service levels remain high.

About the Role

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating daily and short-term production plans, ensuring the factory schedule maximises the use of lines, labour, materials, and machinery. You’ll analyse demand, monitor stock levels, and work collaboratively with teams within the supply chain to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest standards.

Shift Pattern: Panama rotation

  • Week one: Wed, Thu & Fri (06:30-17:30)
  • Week two: Mon Tue Fri (06:30-17:30) Sat and Sun (06:30-15:30)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily and short-term production activities
  • Analyse demand and maintain appropriate stock levels while managing stock at risk
  • Schedule factory operations for effective use of lines, labour, materials, and machinery
  • Carry out stock reconciliation and maintain accurate records
  • Create works orders and set up new products within planning systems
  • Communicate closely with production, despatch, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate actively in daily site meetings
  • Support the Planning Manager to maintain high customer service levels
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Review and update internal KPI reporting systems
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve any issues that could impact customer order fulfilment
  • Support planning manager with reporting and ad hoc planning tasks
