We are looking for an experienced and motivated Line Leader to take responsibility for leading a production line and team to achieve outstanding results in safety, quality, and efficiency. You will play a key role in preparing and running production, supporting your operatives, and ensuring performance targets are consistently met. This role is perfect for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Production & Efficiency: Prepare the line for each shift to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency. Ensure machinery is clean, operational, and pre-start checks are completed. Follow correct specifications, including programmes, films, and date codes.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain cleaning standards before and during production. Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions where required.
- Team Leadership: Ensure team attendance and address any absences. Motivate and support operatives to improve performance and reduce costs. Lead daily “Top 5” meetings to communicate priorities and performance.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment. Follow and enforce all health & safety procedures.
- Performance & KPIs: Communicate KPI performance and take action to improve results.
- Stock & Materials: Ensure safe storage and correct rotation of materials to minimise waste. Communicate any raw material issues promptly.
- Policies & Continuous Improvement: Follow company procedures and standard working practices. Encourage teamwork, improvement ideas, and lean practices (including 5S and waste reduction).
