We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Store Operative to join our Distribution team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient receipt, storage, and supply of packaging materials and ingredients to support both internal and external operations. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production continuity, and ensuring all processes meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and book in packaging and ingredients in line with procedures
- Accurately record stock movements using handheld scanning equipment
- Store and move goods safely using Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Prepare materials in advance to support production and avoid downtime
- Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and transport to meet service levels
- Ensure all documentation for inbound and outbound goods is complete and accurate
About You
- Experience in warehouse or inventory control environments
- Familiar with stock systems and scanning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of health & safety and (ideally) food manufacturing standards
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks
