We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead all aspects of our beetroot factory production operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering outstanding performance across safety, quality, service and cost, while creating a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and employee engagement across the production team. You will oversee the full production process from raw material intake through to dispatch, ensuring operations run safely, efficiently and to specification. Working closely with Planning, Engineering, Technical and Safety teams, you will drive improvements in productivity, labour efficiency, yield, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the production team to deliver KPIs across safety, quality, service, labour efficiency, OEE, yield and cost.
- Champion key operational excellence tools including OEE, RCA, Leader Standard Work and Gemba walks.
- Ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of production from intake through to dispatch.
- Work closely with Planning to deliver production schedules on time, in full and to specification.
- Drive improvements in productivity, machine uptime, labour utilisation, waste reduction and yield.
- Ensure the operation can respond effectively to seasonal peaks, promotions and customer demand.
- Lead, coach and develop Production Managers and Area Leaders to deliver operational targets.
- Ensure effective performance management, engagement and development across the team.
- Promote strong cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Technical, Planning and Safety teams.
- Work closely with Technical and H&S teams to maintain audit readiness and compliance.
- Manage production performance across labour efficiency, OEE, waste, materials usage and yield.
