We are looking for a skilled and proactive Machine Technician to join our production team. You will play a vital role in operating, maintaining, and optimising production machinery to ensure efficient output, excellent product quality, and minimal downtime. This is a hands‑on role where technical ability meets teamwork — perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, keeping machinery performing at its best, and helping a team achieve production success.

What You Will Do

  • Production & Machine Operation
    • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently, following all SOPs.
    • Complete pre‑start checks and machine setups accurately.
    • Run machines to meet production targets and maintain output quality.
    • Keep your area and equipment clean, safe, and audit ready.
  • Line Leadership & Team Support
    • Direct operatives on the line to maintain workflow and hit targets.
    • Communicate clearly, allocate tasks, and ensure everyone understands product requirements.
    • Lead by example — maintaining safety, hygiene, and performance standards.
    • Support and coach colleagues, helping them build skills and confidence.
  • Monitoring & Adjustments
    • Continuously monitor machine performance and product quality.
    • Complete routine checks (weights, seals, codes, metal detection) and record data accurately.
    • Make real‑time adjustments to maintain efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Maintenance & Fault‑Finding
    • Carry out basic maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning.
    • Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
    • Escalate complex faults to the maintenance team promptly and support repairs.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards.
    • Perform hygiene and compliance checks at the correct intervals.
    • Maintain full traceability through accurate and timely record‑keeping.
  • Continuous Improvement & Safety
    • Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and GMP requirements.
    • Proactively identify improvements to processes, yield, and performance.
    • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance your technical skills.
