About the Role
Mushroom growing is a highly controlled and technical process. As a Trainee Grower, you will learn how to:
- Manage the full crop cycle from filling growing rooms to harvesting
- Monitor and control temperature, humidity, COâ‚‚ levels, and irrigation
- Assess compost and casing performance
- Analyse crop data and yields to inform decision-making
- Identify and respond to quality issues or disease risks
- Work closely with harvesting and production teams to optimise output and quality
Growing mushrooms is both a science and an art. It requires careful observation, data-led decisions, and continuous refinement to achieve the best results. You will work alongside experienced Growers who will mentor and support your development as you build the technical knowledge and confidence required to take ownership of growing rooms in the future.
