The core responsibilities of this role involve facilitating a working environment which ensures all workers are engaged and enthused. Forging clear forms of communication to ensure all workers are engaged and updated with organisational performance, news and change. Support recruitment, learning, development and succession throughout area of responsibility to ensure that current and future strategic business objectives are met. Finally, enable a working environment where all workers are safe, respected and able to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Production Line Operations: Drive efficient, cost-effective daily production and packing activities, ensuring customer order fulfilment, product quality, and adherence to health and safety
- Lead and Develop Teams: Manage, coach, and train production staff to optimise line performance, address issues proactively and maintain GMP and hygiene standards.
- Optimize Line Efficiency: Monitor and improve line speed, minimise defects, downtime, and waste through data analysis, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate with Departments: Liaise with quality, technical, and planning teams to ensure material availability, quality compliance, and smooth production flow.
- Manage Performance & Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, report issues promptly, analyse performance data, and support KPI achievement within budgetary controls.
- Ensure Compliance & Safety: Enforce safe working procedures, health, food safety, and environmental policies to meet regulatory and company standards.
- Be a team player: Provide cover and support for the Production Manager and operators as required.
Hours: Monday – Friday: 05:45 – 15:00.
