We are seeking a proactive and experienced Part-Time HR Business Partner to join our HR team and provide operational and strategic HR support to managers and employees across our Ely, Cambs site. This is an ideal role for a flexible professional who wants to make an impact on people strategy while working part-time.
About the Role
Reporting to the HR Director, you will act as a trusted partner to your allocated business areas, supporting leaders in driving employee engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness. You will help implement HR initiatives while providing practical guidance on policies, employee relations, and workforce planning.
Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to provide HR advice, support, and guidance on day-to-day people matters
- Support employee relations cases, performance management, absence, and disciplinary processes
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, including engagement, learning, and organisational development
- Advise on HR policies, compliance, and best practice in line with UK employment law
- Support workforce planning, change management, and talent management activities
- Build strong relationships with employees and managers to drive a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist
- Previous HR experience within the farming, fresh produce, or family business sectors would be considered advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- CIPD qualified (or working towards) desirable
This role is available covering 3 to 4 days per week.
