We are seeking a Sprayer Operator to support our Growing operation in Martham, Norfolk, responsible for the safe, accurate application of pesticides and fertilisers across salad and brassica crops, alongside a range of general farm duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain modern sprayer and tractor machinery to a high standard
- Apply pesticides and liquid fertilisers accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate spray records and manage pesticide stocks (paper and/or digital systems)
- Monitor weather conditions and report when spraying is unsuitable
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including correct disposal of chemicals and packaging
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), routine servicing, and cleaning of machinery
- Support other farm operations such as cultivations, fertilising, and workshop maintenance as required
Field & Site Operations
- Follow field traffic management plans and protect soil structure
- Avoid damage to unharvested crops and countryside stewardship land
- Maintain positive relationships with landlords and neighbours
- Work responsibly in varying ground and weather conditions
Equipment & Compliance
- Conduct daily pre-use checks and report defects promptly
- Ensure machinery is clean, safe, secure, and road-legal before use
- Use company vehicles responsibly and report any damage or incidents
- Attend required training and follow all Safe Working Procedures
