We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our G’s Fresh finance team based in Barway, near Ely. The purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timely financial data, analysis and interpretation, that drives best in class decision making and as a result optimises business performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Be a leader for your team and your business unit, developing a high performing team.
- Prepare the consolidated budget for G’s Fresh for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow in accordance with group timescales.
- Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts for G’s Fresh and Mushrooms to ensure all bank covenants are adhered to.
- Manage G’s Fresh and Mushrooms foreign currency requirements and forecasts.
- Ensure business unit forecasts and budgets are updated in accordance with group requirements along with appropriate charges allocations to product pillars.
- Prepare the consolidated position for G’s Fresh Ltd for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, ensuring it is informative and understood by the organisation and drives actions and decisions in the best interest of the business.
- Produce monthly BPR and board report summaries.
- Continually review and assess if improvement can be made to processes or systems to improve efficiency, accuracy or completeness.
- Always maintain full control over balance sheet risk/opportunity, ensuring position is understood by management and acted upon accordingly.
- Identify and act on process weakness to ensure visibility and control maintained.
- Lead the audit process for G’s Fresh Ltd, producing the year-end financial accounts and supporting documentation in accordance with group timescales and coordinating with external auditors.
Candidate Requirements
- Experienced accountant with a bias towards Analysis, reporting, governance and audit.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all levels.
- Stakeholder management.
- People management experience desirable.
