We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to become a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, providing financial insight, challenge, and support that drives performance, profitability, and strategic growth. This role goes beyond traditional finance. You'll work closely with operational teams, helping them understand financial performance, identify opportunities, manage risks, and make informed decisions that support the continued success of the business.
The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for planning, reporting, and analysing financial performance across key business areas. Acting as a visible and trusted partner, you'll influence decision-making, challenge assumptions, and provide commercial insight that delivers measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and budget holders across the business.
- Support leaders in developing robust budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Provide commercial and financial insight to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify business risks and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Produce clear and insightful monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership teams and Board reviews.
- Ensure robust financial controls are maintained across the business.
- Lead and develop members of the finance team.
About You
We're looking for an operationally astute finance professional who can combine technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, or Senior Management Accounting role.
- Strong experience operating within a complex commercial environment.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders.
- Demonstrable experience of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
- Strong financial control and governance knowledge.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Commercially focused and highly inquisitive.
- Proactive self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborative and relationship driven.
- Innovative and adaptable.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a wider team.
