We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager - Logistics to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our logistics team. This key role will oversee operational efficiency, financial performance, and strategic growth while ensuring exceptional service delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily operations across logistics team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Oversee Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities, maintaining existing revenue streams and identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, hauliers, and third-party suppliers to support seamless logistics operations.
- Collaborate effectively with logistics, assets, and customs teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Lead team performance management, including conducting Performance Development Plans (PDPs), Employee Performance Reviews (EPRs), and identifying training needs.
- Support and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive department and company-wide improvements.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with strong knowledge of transport planning and route optimization.
- Solid financial understanding, including budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
- Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation skills with hauliers and suppliers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, using data to drive improvements.
- Effective leadership and team management experience, with a focus on performance and development.
- Clear and confident communicator, adept at building relationships across teams and with external partners.
- Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
