Then this is your opportunity to lead a major directorate within Grwp Llandrillo Menai, one of Wales' largest and most influential education providers.
As the Grwp's Director of Commercial and Work-Based Learning (WBL), you will head Busnes at Llandrillo Menai, our specialist, employer-facing arm. The Grwp comprises Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, and Busnes at Llandrillo Menai, our extensive commercial and employer-facing service. With over 2,000 staff and around 21,000 learners, including more than 1,500 higher education students, we serve communities across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, and beyond.
Busnes at Llandrillo Menai is looking for a dynamic leader to drive our commercial and work-based learning offer across North Wales. In this role, you'll lead apprenticeship delivery, champion bilingual and Welsh-medium Work Based Learning provision, and build strong partnerships with employers to understand their skills needs and respond with high-quality, innovative training solutions.
You’ll oversee major commercial projects, guide teams across multiple training locations, and ensure our provision is agile, financially sustainable, and aligned to regional priorities. From apprenticeships to short courses and micro-learning to specialist workforce development and large-scale funded projects, your leadership will help businesses grow stronger and support a thriving regional economy.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Commercial Development, this role leads the Commercial and Work-Based Learning Directorate, overseeing apprenticeship delivery, commercial training, specialist services, and major externally funded projects. As a senior leader within Busnes, the postholder will work across all parts of the Grwp to ensure coherent, high-quality employer-led delivery and will play a key role in shaping the organisation's strategic response to regional skills needs.
The post holder will act as a visible advocate for Busnes and the Grwp, building influential partnerships with employers and key stakeholders, such as the Regional Skills Partnership, Medr, Welsh Government, Colegau Cymru, and Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. Through these relationships, they will help shape the skills agenda for North Wales and ensure our Work Based Learning and commercial provision remains responsive, bilingual, innovative, and aligned to economic priorities.
