It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd. The Grwp are seeking to appoint a Student Advisor to join our Learner Services department on our Llangefni campus. As an advisor you will play an important role in the success of our learners, providing them with essential support helping them overcome personal and practical difficulties that might impact on their ability to achieve their potential.

  • Advice and guidance supporting learners navigate their journey from school to college or returning to education and providing expert advice on courses, training opportunities and qualifications.
  • Financial and Welfare: Provide a personal support service for learners on student finance/bursaries and funding, transport and collaborate with external agencies whilst ensuring that learners receive timely and accurate guidance.
  • Promoting the Grwp's Wellbeing plan.
  • Representing the college at recruitment events, open evenings and other activities.

Contract type - Permanent

Pension Provider - Local Government Pension Scheme

Annual Leave - 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years continuous service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Part Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above.
