Grŵp Llandrillo Menai has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Apprenticeship Coach to join our dedicated team based at the Llangefni campus. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 14‑16 who attend college as part of their statutory education programme. As a key member of the Junior Apprenticeship team, you will provide high quality pastoral care, guidance, and mentoring, empowering learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve successful outcomes. Working closely with curriculum teams, you will help foster a safe, structured, and supportive environment where young learners can thrive both personally and academically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality pastoral care, guidance, and mentoring to learners enrolled in Junior Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams to support a safe and structured learning environment.
  • Facilitate personal development activities, enrichment opportunities, active wellbeing sessions, and Personal and Social Education (PSE).
  • Support learning transitions, early intervention, attendance monitoring, behaviour management, and learner engagement.
  • Work jointly with curriculum staff, Junior Apprenticeship lecturers, schools, parents/guardians, and the Local Authority to deliver cohesive, holistic support.
