Join St David’s Hospice as our Café and Gift Shop Supervisor and help create a welcoming experience while generating vital income for local hospice services.
You will oversee the smooth daily operation of the café and gift shop, supervising and supporting volunteers, managing stock, handling cash and banking, and maintaining excellent food hygiene and customer service standards. You will also create attractive retail displays, support promotional activities and events, identify new opportunities, and help maximise income across both areas.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in hospitality, retail or customer service, together with supervisory or team leadership experience. You will be confident, organised and able to work independently, while building positive relationships with volunteers, colleagues and customers. You should enjoy working in a busy, varied environment and share our passion for the Hospice’s mission and community impact.
Experience of working with volunteers or within a charity or healthcare setting would be an advantage. An interest in fundraising and community engagement, along with a Food Hygiene or allergen awareness certificate, would also be welcomed. Flexibility is essential, and you must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
