About Us

Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.

The Grwp aims to support the economy of North Wales by equipping local people with the skills and qualifications needed to ensure the competitiveness and success of the region. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Computing to join our established and supportive team at Grwp Llandrillo Menai based primarily at our Rhos-on-Sea campus in North Wales. The successful candidate will teach across our FE and HE programmes (Levels 3-6), delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that help students develop the skills they need for industry and further study.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Computing, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Practical experience in programming (Python, C#, Java).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Desirable: knowledge of databases, networking or cybersecurity; experience teaching in FE/HE.

If you’re new to teaching, we will support you to achieve a recognised teaching qualification and you will also have access to ongoing CPD, mentoring and opportunities to broaden your technical and pedagogical skills.

Location - Rhos on Sea

Contract type - Permanent

Weekly hours - 37 hours per week. 835 hours annual teaching time 24 to 26 hours teaching per week. Up to 5 hours per week working off site in agreement with manager.
