Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd. The Grwp aims to support the economy of North Wales by equipping local people with the skills and qualifications needed to ensure the competitiveness and success of the region.

The Grwp's wide range of courses, high quality learning experiences, first-class facilities and talented staff all contribute towards the achievement of these goals. Additional opportunities to study locally for degrees and professional qualifications enable more young people and mature learners to achieve their potential. Job Purpose

To provide high quality teaching, to create effective opportunities for learning and to enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability. This post is to work specifically with Junior Apprentices (school years 10 and 11) where excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to support disengaged young people is essential. Junior apprenticeships provide learners who might otherwise be at risk of disengaging from education with a meaningful pathway to further education, apprenticeship and employment.

Contract type: Part Time, Permanent

Location: Rhos on Sea and Rhyl (LL18 2HG) campuses

Weekly hours: 30 hours per week. 668 hours annual teaching time 19 to 21 hours teaching per week. Up to 4 hours per week working off site in agreement with the line manager.

Annual Leave: 46 days leave per annum (pro rata), all normally observed public holidays, determined annually, up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually. Part Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above.
