About Us
Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.
The Grwp aims to support the economy of North Wales by equipping local people with the skills and qualifications needed to ensure the competitiveness and success of the region. Job Purpose – Art and Design Lecturer
The successful applicant will be joining a high performing department within Coleg Llandrillo, part of Grwp Llandrillo Menai. Art & Design is part of the wider Computing and Creative Industries Programme Area at the college. The role will initially involve teaching across the UAL vocational and A-level Art & Design programmes with a view to also contributing to our part-time provision for adults and wider vocational offer depending on the skills and experiences of the successful candidate.
We are currently, primarily based at the colleges Rhos-on-Sea campus with some A-level teaching also taking place at our Rhyl campus. You would be joining a team who strive to provide high quality teaching, to create effective opportunities for learning and to enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability.
Salary –£16,151 – £24,967 per annum
Weekly hours – 18.5 hrs,417.5 hours annual teaching time 12 to 13 hours teaching per week.Up to 2.5 hours per week working off site in agreement with manager
Contract Type – Permanent
Pension Provider – Teachers Pensions Agency
Annual Leave –
?46 days leave per annum.
?All normally observed public holidays, determined annually.
?Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.
?Part Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above.
