Based in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, GRW Talent’s client is a world leader in door opening solutions. They design, manufacture, supply, install, and maintain automatic swinging, sliding, and revolving pedestrian doors across the UK. Part of a well-known multi-national group, the business continues to grow from strength to strength in the UK and internationally.

A strong order book and increasing demand for their diverse product range means they now need to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Team Leader will play a key role driving and leading a diverse team of warehouse operatives. The nature of our client’s business being both an OEM with multiple products and a service organisation supporting multiple products in the field, ensures a fast-paced, busy and just-in-time warehousing and logistics operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Day to day management/HSE of the Warehouse Area and Yard.
  • Line management responsibility and leadership for the warehouse team.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through the completion of regular stock checks in line with company policy.
  • Issue stock to factory as required to fulfil customer order.
  • Ensure doors are packed and kitted ahead of onward shipping to the distribution hubs.
  • Pick pack and ship customer orders as required.
  • Enter and process stock through our SAGE system.
  • Support daily Tier meetings to inform and align team around priorities and taking care of customer requirements.

You are an experienced warehouse professional with time served as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager of a team. This will suit candidates from a range of warehouse and logistics backgrounds; construction, retail and industrial fit out, engineered products, manufacturing or possibly FMCG. Coming from a modern warehouse environment with good ERP level systems underpinning the running will be advantageous as will someone used to working and kitting for a high SKU, high volume or fast-paced environment.
