With a new base in North London, GRW Talent’s client is a world leader in door opening solutions. They design, manufacture, supply, install, and maintain automatic swinging, sliding, and revolving pedestrian doors across the UK. Part of a well-known multi-national group, the business continues to grow from strength to strength in the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operator to join the Supply Chain Team.

In this role you will pick, pack and despatch goods accurately and to set timelines. Please note a high level of flexibility and commitment will be required, as you will be working as part of a small team and at times may be required to work unsupervised. You will actively participate in and understand 5S Audits and the need to constantly evolve as the business changes. You will also need to maintain and develop your current skill set to ensure you give yourself every opportunity to progress within the group and contribute to ISO Business Management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures.
  • Ensure your safety and that of your colleagues, and visitors at all times.
  • Ensure any PPE provided by the company is worn as instructed.
  • Report any unsafe acts or near misses to your manager.
  • Work effectively in a team and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Carry out instructions as given by your manager to meet agreed targets.
  • Ensure waste is kept to a minimum by disposing of it correctly.
  • Ensure all equipment is checked before use and all defects are reported.
  • Maintain high standards of Housekeeping during your shift and at the end.
  • Always be polite to your colleagues and any visitors to the premises.
  • Ensure that company equipment is not mistreated.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives.

A forklift license would be desirable but not essential. You will need to be computer literate, a team player who is enthusiastic and with a willingness to learn. You will also be approachable and have excellent timekeeping. Daily start time is 7.30am.
