Part-time (18-20 hours per week) | Hybrid - Dundee
Our client is looking for a capable, self-motivated Finance Manager, working on a part time basis, to take full ownership of the finance function within one of their subsidiary businesses. This is a stand-alone role. You'll run your own book and be the go-to person for all things finance in this part of the business, while being supported by the wider structure of an established manufacturing group. It's an ideal opportunity for a part-qualified or qualified accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy and seeing the full picture, and who wants a flexible, part-time role. You will be able to choose your weekly hours / days to suit your schedule.
What you’ll be doing
As the sole finance professional in the subsidiary, you'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle, including:
- Month-end management accounts: preparing accurate and timely monthly accounts for the business.
- Cash flow management and control: owning the weekly cash flow and making sure the business's cash position is closely monitored and controlled.
- Tenant invoicing and credit control: raising all invoices and managing collections to keep debtors under control.
- Purchase ledger and payment control: recording all purchase costs on the ledger and managing supplier payments.
- Bookkeeping: carrying out all day-to-day bookkeeping to keep the records complete and up to date.
What we’re looking for
- A part-qualified (PQ) or fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent).
- Confidence working independently and taking full responsibility for a set of accounts.
- Hands‑on experience across management accounts, cash flow, sales and purchase ledgers, and credit control.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and deadlines.
- Experience in a group or multi‑entity environment would be an advantage.
In return they can offer a permanent, salaried part‑time role of approx. 18-20 hours per week with hybrid working, with a mix of home working and time in the Dundee office. You will also have genuine ownership and autonomy in a broad, varied role with the stability and support of a wider manufacturing group.
