Based in East Kilbride, Grw Talent's client is building out a high-volume electronic probe test card production and assembly business. The business is celebrated for an open, fair, empowered and highly engaged culture where people matter and rewards are shared across the company. Due to a peak in their workload, they now need to make the key hire of a temporary Shipping Coordinator to join their team.

The Shipping Coordinator joins a very busy, fast-paced and vibrant materials and supply chain team. This role is central to the daily operations of the business, supporting and ensuring the delivery of all necessary production materials and shipment of finished goods and products to clients globally. It is a high-volume role with circa 10-15 deliveries per day and the same in customer shipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately recording inputs and outputs on ERP/CRM EPICOR system
  • Liaising with couriers and managing shipping broker regarding shipment and deliveries status
  • Continually update the ERP/CRM system with the delivery status and when goods are received
  • Verifying and meeting established deadlines through management, product fulfilment, shipping, and transportation cycle
  • Submit any necessary customs declarations and verify the accuracy of data in line with custom codes and import/export licence
  • Monthly reporting to line manager on internal issues resulting in shipping errors and/or delays
  • Effectively using Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems to monitor goods in and goods out
  • Ensuring effective communication through email, telephone, and face to face to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure shipping is cost effective and complies with legislation
  • Liaise with couriers to ensure deliveries are scheduled and on time
  • Support with any border control/custom stoppages
  • Work independently to fulfil the customers' requirements and support with any assistance they require
  • Oversee packing and shipping the final goods
  • Managing consistent shipping to ensure a steady workflow
  • Meeting established deadlines through shipping and transportation cycles

The successful candidate should have experience as a Shipping Coordinator, Export Coordinator, Despatch Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator/Analyst. We would be especially keen to hear from candidates who have worked in busy manufacturing, warehouse/logistics or perhaps courier businesses. Willing to learn, support, work autonomously and get the job done to tight deadlines is what matters most. Candidates will need excellent Microsoft IT skills and ideally some exposure to enterprise level CRM, ERP and SAP platforms.
