Based in Dunfermline, this is a permanent full‑time position. We are a leading home improvement company in Scotland with a strong brand and a rapidly growing domestic and commercial customer base. We require a Purchasing Assistant to join our small purchasing team. You will liaise with management and colleagues across departments to expedite orders and handle queries. You should be a confident communicator, meticulous, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced office environment. Current, relevant IT skills – especially Microsoft Excel – are required.
Your role will involve:
- Carrying out a range of administrative duties including accurate data entry and filing;
- Coding and pricing purchase orders;
- Approving invoices;
- Booking deliveries;
- Liaising with different departments to seek updates and expedite materials and services;
- Speaking to external suppliers as required.
Qualifications: A Business or Administration qualification from school or college, or prior experience in a purchasing role.
