…to support our production channels and manufacturing teams by designing and implementing high-quality jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions.
Your main responsibilities include
- Design and develop tooling to support product industrialisation and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Create and maintain operation and stage drawings using CAD tools (PTC Creo/Windchill).
- Manage tooling sub-contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Support automation initiatives by designing grippers and automation-ready fixtures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve tooling issues and improve tooling performance.
- Contribute to digitalisation efforts by integrating parametric design data into stage models, tooling models and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in tooling design or a similar engineering role in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (experience with PTC Creo/Windchill an advantage).
- In-depth understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) beneficial
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication, alongside teamwork skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
